Privacy Policy

Quick Summary ⚡

We do NOT store your name, birthday, or any personal information on our servers. We only collect anonymous aggregate statistics (e.g. how many people picked “male” this month). Your like history is saved only in your own browser (local storage) — never sent to us. You can use this service safely without any account or login.

What we collect

We collect only anonymous counters that cannot identify you personally:

    Aggregate event counts — total generations, shares, and likes across all users.
  • ✓
    Per-name popularity — how many times each Korean name (e.g. 오도윤) was generated or liked. Your personal info is not linked.
  • ✓
    Anonymous demographics — grouped counts only: device type (mobile/desktop/tablet), gender selection (male/female), age range (20s, 30s, etc.), and hour-of-day. Individual values are never stored.

What we don't collect

    Your name or birthday. Your inputs are used only to generate results in your browser. We do not save them.
  • ✗
    IP addresses. We don't log request IPs or tie them to your activity.
  • ✗
    Tracking cookies. We don't use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any ad tracker.
  • ✗
    User accounts. No sign-up, no login, no email.

Cookies & Local Storage

Like deduplication:When you like a name, we save it in your browser's localStorage so you cannot like the same name twice from the same device. This data never leaves your device.

Admin session cookie: Only the site operator uses this. Not relevant to regular users.

Third-party services

Our service runs on:

    Vercel — hosting. Collects standard server access logs per its own privacy policy.

    Redis Cloud — stores our aggregate counters only (no personal data).

    Unsplash — provides background images. When images load, Unsplash may receive your IP address per standard HTTP requests.

Data retention

Aggregate counters are kept indefinitely since they contain no personal information. The site operator may reset statistics at any time.

Your rights

Since we do not store your personal data, there is nothing for you to request access to, correct, or delete. To clear the local like history:

  1. Open your browser's site settings for this page
  2. Clear “Site data” or “Local storage”

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the new policy.
